A senior national table tennis player, Ojo Onaolapo, has joined four other Nigerians who secured clubs in Europe to play professionally. Onaolapo was signed-up for one year by ADC Ponta Do Pargo, Portugal.Already, four other Nigerians – Sunday Odunlade, Cecilia Otu-Akpan, Janet Friday and Jide Ogidiolu – are playing for the club.
“My mission is to justify my signing by the club.”
Also, Olajide Omotayo and Kazeem Makanjuola moved to Marcozzi Table tennis Club of Italy this season. Onaolapo said his target was to help the club win the Portugal Cup, a feat Quadri Aruna achieved with Sporting Lisbon this year.
Onaolapo said: “It has been my wish for so long to play in Portugal. I have been on the process for long and I am glad it came to pass.
